AI chatbots for websites
An AI chatbot for websites answers common questions in Latvian, Russian and English, based on your own content, and hands difficult cases to a person.
AI chatbot for websites: who it suits
An AI chatbot for websites is a virtual assistant that answers visitors straight away, while you are working, in a meeting or already at home. It does not replace contact with your customers. It takes over the repeated questions: opening hours, delivery times, returns rules, how to choose the right service.
If you get the same questions every day by email, phone or WhatsApp, a chatbot can handle part of them for you. It can also collect contact details and requests in the evening or at weekends, when nobody answers the phone.
KVANTS is a small studio: two people who plan and build projects themselves. We build the chatbot so that the assistant talks about your offer, not about the whole internet, and so that you understand what it does and where its limits are.
What the chatbot does
A well-prepared AI assistant works best with questions where the answer already exists on your website or in your documents, but visitors cannot find it quickly.
Common questions
Opening hours, address, payment methods, delivery and returns rules. The visitor gets an answer in a conversation instead of searching through menus.
Choosing a service
The assistant asks a few clarifying questions and points to the most suitable service or product.
Enquiries after hours
If someone writes in the evening, the chatbot takes their contact details and briefly notes what they need. In the morning you already have a ready enquiry.
Answers from your content
The assistant answers from your materials: website pages, FAQ, service descriptions, delivery and returns rules, and documents you approve. This is the knowledge base the chatbot draws on.
It does not invent answers or search for them online. If the information is missing or the question is sensitive, the chatbot says so honestly and offers contact with a person: by email, chat or phone.
Three languages, one window
Business owners worry most about the quality of Latvian in a chatbot, and rightly so: clumsy language spoils the impression of a company. The assistant recognises the visitor's language and replies in Latvian, Russian or English.
Before launch we test it with real customer questions, including colloquial phrases and typos. If the tone or terminology is not natural enough, we adjust the instructions and the knowledge base.
Enquiries and integrations
A chatbot is more useful when it is connected to your other tools. During the conversation it asks for what you need: name, contact details, request. The enquiry arrives in your email or CRM with a short summary of the conversation.
CRM and email
A new enquiry appears where you already work, so you do not have to retype anything from the chat.
E-shop
An AI assistant for an e-shop can answer about products, delivery and returns. Order status can be shown if the e-shop has an API. For building the shop itself, see our online stores page.
Booking calendar
The assistant can help choose a time and pass the request to your booking system.
Handover to a person
When a question needs individual attention, you or a colleague take over the conversation.
Data security and honesty
People may write personal data in chats, so we think about it from the start. We update the privacy policy, collect only what is necessary, set a retention period for conversations and choose providers with a data processing agreement, with data processed in the EU where possible. We do not use your customers' data to train public models.
The EU Artificial Intelligence Act requires that people know they are talking to an AI system, not a person. We state this clearly in the chat window.
Artificial intelligence can make mistakes. So we limit topics, set rules, test, and review conversations after launch. For questions with legal or financial consequences, we recommend human review. The chatbot supports your staff, it does not replace them.
When you do not need one
Not every business needs a chatbot. If you get very few questions, running one may not be justified. If every customer always needs an individual consultation, an assistant will not help much.
Sometimes a well-organised FAQ page and a clear contact form are enough. We will tell you this honestly in the first conversation. If you also want to automate internal processes, see our pages on automation or web applications.

How we work
Conversation
We learn what questions you receive and what you want to achieve. Then we prepare a written plan and quote.
Content
We collect the materials the chatbot may use and agree on topics and boundaries.
Development
We build the assistant, the design and the integrations with your tools.
Testing
We check answers in three languages with real questions and fix weak spots.
Launch and upkeep
We launch the chatbot, review conversations and regularly extend the knowledge base.
Frequently asked questions
Does the chatbot really understand Latvian?
Current models write Latvian well enough, but quality varies by topic. So before launch we test with real questions and adjust the instructions until the answers sound natural.
What if the chatbot gives a wrong answer?
Mistakes are possible, so we limit topics and make the chatbot admit when it does not know. Conversations can be reviewed, and we fix a wrong answer by extending or clarifying the knowledge base.
Can the chatbot see or change orders?
Order status can be shown if your e-shop has an API. We limit access to what is necessary, and changes to orders are usually left to a person.
Where is the data stored?
We choose providers with data processing agreements and, where possible, data processing in the EU. We set a retention period for conversations and do not use customer data to train public models.
Must visitors know it is a chatbot?
Yes. The EU Artificial Intelligence Act requires that people are told they are talking to an AI system. We state this clearly in the chat window.
How do you update the chatbot's knowledge?
When prices, rules or your offer change, we extend or refresh the knowledge base. We can do this for you, and together we agree how often to review the content.
Will it work on WhatsApp or Messenger?
It is possible as a separate integration, but it depends on the rules and options of each platform. We assess this before work starts.
What are the ongoing costs?
Using an AI model costs money depending on the number of conversations. We explain this at the start, and after a short conversation we prepare a written plan and quote.
