Year

2026

This project is part of our service: online store development.

About the project

xtuning.lv sells car tuning and styling parts: headlights, bumpers, grilles, spoilers, exhausts, steering wheels, sport seats and films. The catalogue is organised by car make, model generation and part type, and some items can be picked up in the shop right away. The store used to run on OpenCart. We built the new one on PrestaShop 8 with its own XTUNING design system and about 20 modules of our own, all gathered in one admin menu. We started in June 2026 and keep improving the store after launch.

Challenges

The catalogue has about 1,600 products, and many parts only fit a specific make, model and generation, so shoppers need to find the right one quickly. Links from the old OpenCart store were still in Google results and could not be lost. Orders ship to every EU country, and delivery time and cost depend on the country and on whether the item is already in the shop. The content was needed in three languages, and translating every product by hand would have taken a great deal of time.

Solutions

We put a part finder on the homepage: the shopper picks a part type, make and model. Makes, models and part types have their own pages with readable URLs, and live search shows products while you type. Old OpenCart addresses redirect with a 301 to the matching new pages. The product page shows whether the part is in the shop or how many days it usually takes to arrive, plus delivery time and price for the chosen country. A translation module working through OpenRouter translates products, categories and information pages into English and Russian. Translation, the AI assistant and SEO settings are managed in one AI dashboard. We connected Montonio payments and Omniva delivery, and built electronic gift cards, order emails with PDF invoices and XML feeds for price comparison sites.

Project results

The xtuning.lv store runs in Latvian, English and Russian, and its sitemap lists about 1,600 product pages in each language. Shoppers can pay by online banking, card, in instalments or in the shop, and get their order from a parcel locker, by courier or in the shop. The shop manages new products, menus, homepage blocks and translations on its own.
